Farming Smarter partnered with Farm Resilience Mentorship Program (FaRM) to offer training and support on Advanced Nitrogen Management and Cover Crops.

FaRM is a national coalition of farmer-led and farmer-supporting organizations offering training and support to farmers on Advanced Nitrogen Management, Cover Cropping & Advanced Grazing Systems. 

This partnership allows 45 farmers and 45 agronomists the opportunity to attend various Farming Smarter events at no charge. This includes an inaugural event in Taber June 22, Field School June 15, Plot Hop July 13, Rural innovation bus tour July 27 and the Farming Smarter Conference February 2024. 

Please register at least one week in advance for the individual events you plan to attend from the selection in the right-hand column!

Additionally, Dr. Gurbir Dhillon will offer monthly Shop Talk zoom sessions on the third Tuesday of each month from 10-11am. Everyone is welcome to tune in and ask questions on implementing best management practices (BMPs) related to nitrogen and cover crops.
