Farming Smarter Conference 2013 at Lethbridge Lodge
Our conference numbers were down a little in 2013, but considering no one could see southern Alberta roads at the time, we did quite well. The stormy weather also held a couple of our far away speakers at bay, but they spoke later at the AGM when the roads were clear.
The people that did get to Lethbridge Lodge had fun and learned lots from the 19 presentations that took place over two days. Almost half the people who came were farmers, 40 percent were agricultural industry representatives and a smattering of provincial government people involved in the industry rounded out the group. Here is what some of the attendees had to say before they headed home to see if families and farms survived the storm.
“Always enjoy this conference.”
“Great topics and speakers.”
“Great job organizing. Too bad about the weather, but turnout was still impressive.”
“Good conference. I picked up some ideas and had some good conversations.”
“It’s always a great conference. There is a good balance of research-based speakers and industry/hands on speakers.”
We video tape every presentation at our conferences for future reference. Most of the information is research-based and highly valuable to prairie crop growers. To access these videos, visit this link –

Whenever possible, we also include the presentations our speakers prepare for the conference. Below you will find the ones we have.
