This is a natural enemy of the wheat stem sawfly - a pest that has a couple warm spots this year according to Scott Meers. The parasitoid is kind of timely given the cold snap these days. It has glycerol and can super-cool to very low temperatures. Farmers can conserve it by leaving stubble as tall as possible as the wasps over-winter in the stems in the lower third portion of the plant.
