Come work with southern Alberta’s leader in agriculture research.

We want motivated individuals to work with our team.  You will gain a wide range of research and extension experience such as:

-Plot research skills (seeding, spraying, plot management, data collection, photography, harvest)

-Technical skills (lab prep work with analytical balances, pipettes, etc, computer work)

-Organizing skills (help to coordinate crop walks, tours and events)

-Communication skills (using internet and social media formats to advertise and promote)

-Networking opportunities with producers, industry members and government personnel

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license;
  • Must be willing and able to perform light to medium physical tasks outdoors;
  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
  • Must have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and,
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

 

Term:  May 1 to Aug 31, 2016 (M-F, 40hrs/week, some overtime required)

Salary:  $17 – $23 based on experience
