We're excited!
FYI - a new executive committee took the reins of Farming Smarter at the Board organizational meeting March 17, 2017.
Doug Brodoway became Chair, George Lubberts became Vice-Chair and Ben van Dyk became Treasurer for 2017.
The Farming Smarter Board and Staff want to thank its past executive for their years of service; Chair Craig Walsh, Vice-Chair Doug Brodoway and Treasurer Matt Stanford.
Doug took a natural step to Chair and Craig is still a director, so will be able to advise Doug and provide continuity for the organization. Matt, however, finished his second term on the Board and plans to keep an eye on us from not so far away. We will miss his contribution to the Board, but are grateful for the years he served Farming Smarter.
The organizational meeting took place a couple of weeks after the 2017 AGM/celebration where over 100 people came to see our new offices and join us for dinner. At that meeting, director elections took place. There were four directors up for election. Three directors, Craig Walsh, Andy Kirshenman and Doug Brodoway stood for their second term and Matt Stanford's position remained open.
Along with the 2017 Executive, Art Bird, Garry MacLagan, George Clayton, Richard Stamp, Carrie Butterwick, Andy Kirschenman and Jacob Kodde serve Farming Smarter as volunteer Board members.
