Dakota is the Market Engagement & Partnership Lead at Farming Smarter, a title that sounds long until you realize how many hats she wears. She joined the team as a summer student expecting to focus on communications after graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management, and quickly discovered that Farming Smarter is the kind of place where one opportunity leads to ten more.

Her role spans marketing, sponsorship, assisting with operations, fundraising, and event planning, all helping bring people, ideas, and projects together. Dakota is passionate about building meaningful connections within the agriculture community and is excited to grow alongside an industry that is constantly evolving and finding smarter ways forward.
